Fashion: Swimwear

We really haven't had much of Summer in Scotland this year but if you follow me on twitter  you might have seen that I have just booked a holiday to Florida. I've been saving since Christmas so I'm very excited that it's finally booked.

Now that's the holiday booked, it's time to start the holiday shopping. I've decided this year I'm going to invest in a nice swimsuit to look glam while strolling along St Petes beach. ASOS have great selection, here are my top six:

Event: Debenhams Summer Soiree

A few weeks ago I went along to Gusto in Glasgow for the Debenhams Summer Soiree. The purpose of the evening was to celebrate all things summer including swimwear, make-up and accessories.

I headed along to the event with two of  my favourite bloggers Chantelle and Eilidh and with it being a typical Scottish summers day we all turned up dressed for the sunshine and it started to pour of rain. When we arrived we were greeted with glasses of champagne then headed through to join in the fun.

As well as the latest swimwear, make-up and accessories, there was plenty going on to keep us entertained all night.  The ladies from Barebaroque were there to apply these fabulous jewellery tattoos and we had the lovely Tammy from DIY Nail pimping up our nails. We were also shown a live demo of a fake bake spray tan and got to see the latest swimwear worn by some very pretty models. The bikini that caught my eye with this lovely one by Butterfly by Matthew Williamson (below).

Throughout the night we were treated to cocktails and canapes and caught up on all the gossip in the blogging world. What a fab night it was.

Beauty: Benefit They' Real Colour

A few weeks ago, I was invited along to Benefit in House of Fraser to find out more about their latest product launch, They're Real! Colour. The famous They're Real mascara and eyeliner now comes in various colours. As well as black, They're Real mascara now comes in blue and brown and They're Real eyeliner comes in blue, brown, purple and green.

When we arrived we were treated to champers and cupcakes. The cupcakes or cupcarons as they were called were absolutely delicious.

Once we had stuffed our faces with the cupcarons we were given a demonstration of the new products. Claire from Benefit created two different looks, the first being slighlty more dramatic using the coloured eyeliners as an eyeshadow as well as an eyeliner and the second was a more natural look using the brown They're Real mascara and eyeliner.

At the end of the night we were given a goodie bag with an eyeliner and mascara but had no idea what colours were in each bag. I was delighted to find the brown They're Real mascara (which I have worn everyday since the event) and a green eyeliner which I'm looking forward to wearing as I normally wear a boring old black.

Already a best seller, this smudge proof mascara add's length and volume. As mentioned above, it now comes in blue and brown and can be matched with the coloured eyeliners and costs £19.50.

This smudge proof and waterproof eyeliner lasts for 24 hours. The soft tip hugs the eye and lashline giving the illusion of bigger eyes. The eyeliner now comes in four new colours: blue, brown, green and purple and costs £18.50. They're Real remover is advised to remove your eye make up at the end of the day.

Have you tried They're Real coloured mascaras and eyeliners yet?
