Hansel & Gretel Blogger Event

A few weekends ago, I was very lucky to be invited along to Hansel and Gretel Blogger Event by
Scottish Ballet and Blythswood Square. When I read the email I knew it was a day not to be missed.

The day began at 11am at Blythswood Square where we were greeted with a Woodcutters Wife Cocktail then shown a short 'making-of' video of Hansel & Gretel in the fabulous Screening Room. After the screening, we were treated to a special Hansel and Gretel Afternoon Tea and met two of the cast members, Constance Devernay and Chris Harrison for a Q&A and had a glimpse at some of the costumes. If that wasn't enough, we pampered with lovely hand and arm massages by the therapists from the Spa.

Once we finished our Afternoon Tea we were whisked off to Theatre Royal (with a bag of sweeties & drinks tokens in hand) to watch the matinee performance of Hansel & Gretel. The performance was best part of the day. As Hansel & Gretel is one of my favourite childhood stories I couldn't wait to see the set and the costumes. It did not disappoint, it was set in an enchanted forest with dancing raven's in sparkly jackets, a fairy and an evil witch. What more do you need! It was a fabulous day and just what I needed to get me in the festive spirit.

The Bloggers Christmas Party

On Tuesday night, I went along to the Bloggers Christmas Party organised by Paula and Scott. The party was held in October (previously November) in Princes Square and the dress code for the night was Christmas jumpers.

I attended the party with my usual blogging buddies Jennifer, Eilidh, Naomi, Lyn, Genna and Kayleigh. I was having such a great time chatting with the girls I only took one picture at the event.

Genna, Eilidh and Me

We were treated to a drink on arrival and goodies bags filled with lots of amazing products. Paula and Scott also arranged a raffle with all proceeds being donated to the Rucksack Project. There were some amazing prizes such as Afternoon Tea at the Corinthian, a meal for four at Blythswood Square Hotel, a Lush Set and many more. A secret Santa was also arranged with us each bringing a gift to put into a box for everyone to pick one at the end. I picked out a notebook and a candle which I loved (thank you secret Santa).

All in all it was a great night and Paula and Scott did a great job organising it. Can't wait to the next event guys.

Christmas Party Survival Kit

Last week, I was pleasantly surprised to receive this lovely gift from the St Enoch Centre. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will see they have recently given me the opportunity to contribute to their magazine and try out a 3D body scanner. Both have been such great opportunities and given me great blog material.

My lovely gift came in 2 boxes which contained a Christmas Party Survival Kit. What a fab idea!!!

The first box contained products to get you Christmas party ready and included a Kate Moss for Rimmel London Lasting Lipstick, a Topshop Nail Varnish in Heart of Gold, a Gold Bracelet from Dorothy Perkins, Scholl Party Feet Invisible Heel Shields and Fake Eyelashes from Claire's Accessories.

The second box for the morning after the Christmas Party, contained treats to bring you back to life after a late night. These included an Eye Mask from Claire's Accessories, Peppermint Foot Rescue from The Body Shop, All in One Cheek Colour in Bubblegum from The Body Shop and an Alternative Mince Pie from Hotel Chocolat. I have my Christmas night out this weekend so all of these items will come in very handy.

Big thanks to The St Enoch Centre and The Big Partnership for this fabulous Christmas gift.

All of these products are available form retailers at The St Enoch Centre.

St Tropez Gradual Tan Body Lotion

Last month, I was contacted by one of  my favourite brands (St Tropez) and asked to be part of their Blogger Beauty Panel. As you can imagine, I jumped at the chance as I'm always raving about how good their products are.

As part of the Blogger Beauty Panel, I was asked to check out their brand new website and write a review on a product they sent me.

I was sent the Gradual Tan Body Lotion which was a  product I had never used so it was great to try something new. My old faithful St Tropez product is their Self Tan Classic Lotion which I buy over and over again.

I used the Gradual Tan every other day for a week to get the best results. By the end of the week, I was very impressed. It had built up a gradual tan, leaving me with a natural healthy glow.

The untinted lotion went on like a body lotion and left my skin feeling and looking moisturised.  As the lotion contains Vitamin E there is no need to use an additional body moisturiser on your skin (which is great if you like your beauty routine to be low maintenance). After a few hours of applying, I began to notice my skin had a nice healthy glow and like other St Tropez products I have used, it was easy to apply and the results were streak free.  What I love most about St Tropez products is the colour works with the pigmentation of your skin which results in a more natural looking tan which is great for my pale skin. I used the light/medium but if you have darker skin I would recommend the medium/dark.

This is definitely a product I can see me re-purchasing and using on a regular basis.

St Tropez are offering 3 for 2 on all products until the 20th December.
